Kitchen Tours:
The Art of Outdoor Living

OVAL's Kitchen Tours highlight Henderson's very own homes and kitchens for open viewing. This year's tour looked to outdoor kitchens and spaces for inspiration. All five homes featured a chef, each cooking their own delicious dish for tourgoers to test. Raffles, silent auctions, flower bouquets, and live music could be found scattered throughout different homes. Thank you to all who supported this year's Kitchen Tour to make it a huge success!

Filling the Void with Color

This Gallery 101 exhibit shined a spotlight on local Evansville artist Lesley Nelson.

"I've spent my whole life figuring out who I am. While I was figuring it out, I got my degree in graphic design, mastered knitting, upholstered furniture, designed quilts, sculpted with clay, drew, and painted--all to pass the time while I figured it out. Sometimes I even wish I were an artist. If only I could be an artist.

"Through hard times, betrayal, and hurt, I woke up every day choosing to heal. I painted and created to desperately keep peace in my life. It's been the one thing no one could take from me. You can't take dreams, hope, or the desire to be free and full of peace. Art saved my life.

"And then one day I realized I'd been an artist all along." - Lesley Nelson

Thank you to all who visited the gallery to view Lesley's beautiful and uplifting works!
